Alabama State Sponsored Child Abuse

If a parent chooses to not see their child, whether it is none at all, or one or two days a month, or whether it is just a few times a year, then you, yes you, as a society along with the judges, lawyers, psychologists, etc....call this parent a "deadbeat", a "loser", a "sorry person", along with other unmentionable names.

However, if the people who make up society AND represent the State of Alabama AND the citizens of Alabama, yes you, YOU are represented by the JUDGES of Alabama, when these same parties decide to remove a childs parent from their life and limit it to a few days a month, a few holidays each year, a few weeks during the summer time, THEN it is labeled as being all "ok", "acceptable", "legal", "lawful", "right and proper", all "in the childs best interest".

Do you see ANY difference in the two scenarios above? Overall, no, you shouldn't. Unless you have another agenda BESIDE what is truly best for our children - BOTH parents being as involved as possible in our childs life to give them the best chance at becoming a worthwhile part of society. And if you believe seeing your child a few days each month provides you ample time to be the best parent you can for your childs need then you are fooling yourself.

Summed up - When a parent fails to be involved in their kids life you criticize them but when the judges make decisions of the same kind that are equal or worse to abuse of our kids by removing a parent from a childs life all of you look at it as acceptable and ok.

Can anyone see the irony in this and how unacceptable the treatment our children are being dealt at the hands of not only misguided and warped parents but also the single person, the judge, who can put an end to the nonsense the child is having to endure?

Under the current Alabama issued standard custody guidelines, a NON-CUSTODIAL Parent will only spend 4 years of the first 18 years of their childs life.

Under the current Alabama issued standard custody guidelines, a NON-CUSTODIAL Parent will at times go up to 3 weeks without being able to see their child. How is the NCP to 'parent' on issues that took place two weeks ago? It simply isn't realistic nor possible.

Another easy method to determine a CUSTODIAL Parents true interest in what is best for their child is to ask them if they themselves would be willing to be subjected to the SAME custody guidelines as placed upon the NON-CUSTODIAL Parent?

Most likely the answer is an astounding and loud "NO".
And there, my friend, you have your answer and proof that the decades long manner of the judges of Alabama in Family Court treating our kids and parents is a failed policy and the dysfunction that has been a result of the "winner take all" Alabama family court system.

For our childrens sake, we CAN and SHOULD do better than this blatant civil rights violations of our childrens right to BOTH parents.
